Vedett, a blond, light, well-hopped premium beer with 5.2% alcohol content, is the cult Duvel Moortgat beer today. Following its birth in 1945, it quickly acquired fame and recognition within an intimate circle of insiders in the Antwerp-Brussels region. Vedett is alternative, not too serious; it combines retro, modern and design.
Vedett Extra White, uses only natural ingredients – such as wheat, barley, hops, coriander and dried orange peel – are used in the brewing. To develop the taste palate, the beer is bottle conditioned for several weeks – an area of expertise Duvel Moortgat is world-renowned for. The beer is bottled unfiltered, keeping all natural goodness inside.
The Vedett IPA has a pronounced but mild bitterness with hints of grapefruit which increase in intensity. Its velvety, malty undertones give way to a sweet, caramel flavour and its superb, long-lasting finish continues to tantalise the taste buds long afterwards. The purity and fresh touches, both in flavour and aroma, make it a heavenly beer!
